Why This Reference Exists
Hocking County uses a regional jail in Nelsonville, while court records remain in Hocking County and state-prison information is maintained by ODRC. That split can make a simple release question surprisingly hard. This site brings the roles of those systems into one plain-language reference. It explains why a name may leave the current roster, which court can show release authority, and when a state or federal locator becomes relevant.
Information is written for release verification, notifications, personal knowledge, and court or legal processes. The Hocking County Sheriff, Hocking Common Pleas inquiry, and other official agencies remain the only sources that can certify their records or act on a case.
Records and Sources Covered
The main topics include the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail roster and release-record request route, Hocking Municipal and Common Pleas dockets, the ODRC offender search, county community control, Adult Parole Authority supervision, Ohio VINE alerts, and limited federal or immigration custody checks. Each tool has a defined scope. A current roster is not a release archive, and a projected date is not proof that physical release occurred.
- Regional-jail booking and movement records
- Hocking County court orders and case dispositions
- Ohio prison release and supervision status
- Custody-event notifications through Ohio VINE
- Federal and immigration locators when those jurisdictions apply
What This Site Cannot Do
This site does not host jail, court, parole, or corrections records. It cannot change a record, remove a booking photograph, obtain confidential information, calculate an official release date, arrange transportation, contact a person in custody, or interpret a court order as legal counsel. Live facts can change after publication, so an official record or direct agency response controls.
Hocking County Released Inmates is private and unaffiliated with any government office. It is not a consumer reporting agency and its information may not be used for any Fair Credit Reporting Act purpose.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some search boxes connect visitors with outside research providers. If a visitor follows a partner result or buys a partner service, this site may receive a referral fee. That relationship does not change the price shown by the provider and does not make the partner an official Hocking County, jail, court, or corrections source. Partner results should be checked against the office that created the underlying record.
